Bawn & Latton News - 7th March 2010

Sympathy is expressed to the West Families in Latton and Ballybay on the tragic accident in West Cavan last weekend. May god help those that survived and assist in their recovery

The late Eugene Mc Anae (Lisdoonan & formerly of Latton)
Sympathy is expressed to the members of Eugene’s family oh his recent death. Eugene was laid to rest beside his mother Rosie in St. Marys, Latton.

Hidden Heritage – Tuesday 15th March at 8pm in GFC Centre . The Latton / Bawn group involved in the “Hidden Heritage – uncovering your own Local History” will launch their exhibition on the research they have carried out on this area on Tuesday 15th March at 8pm in Latton GFC Centre. Guest star Pat Mc Geeney, Bard of Armagh. This exhibition will go on to form part of the ground breaking audio visual display “Hidden Heritage” to be launched at the beginning of April. This project is part financed by the European Union Regional Development Fund through Peace III Programme and funded through Monaghan Peace III Partnership.


Thursday Club
Anyone willing to help out at monthly Thursday Club, please contact Bernie at 086 1714265 or Carmel at 086 3633270. This will enable the organisers to compile a rota.

Bawn Handball Club
Best of luck to Eugene Mc Geogh who is competing in the U15’s Ulster Final in Kingscourt this Sunday. Also congratulations to Tom Coyle and Michael Clerkin who both won their county finals last Sunday.
