Latton Social Services & Development Ltd -  AGM Thursday Night at 8:30pm - New members most welcome!

CPR Latton -  An oppertunity exists currently to train a CPR Volunteer, In this area, contact Resource Centre or Bernie Shannon.

Bawn Housing & Communtiy Association welcome the announcement from Cllr Padraic Mc Nally that a substansial sum of money, has been granted to improve the Safety of the junction where the Bawn Chapel meets the Shercock / Ballybay Road. The housing committee have been voicing their concerns to local representatives about this matter for some time. Work is expected to commence in the next few months.

Pre-School Children
- have now changed key workers and are at a stage where they are recognising their names and words without symbols, Baby Room, Toddler Room and First Steps room are working in line with Siolta standards, and the entire group are part of a national Siolta pilot and last week we had to compile a portfolio on Outdoor Environment for Pre-School standard 2.51 for the Department. Staff are continually attending training, bothe Fetac 5 and 6 and Degree courses.

Fundraising Marathon for Down Syndrome Cavan / Monaghan

Paul Gallagher, a research worker on nine months placement with Fingers & Toes, is doing a 26 mile run in Milan on April 10th. Sponsor Cards available in Centre, from next week. The Management and Committee wish tothank Paul very much for his commitment to the cause. Paul is with Fingers & Toe's and is a qualified graduate whom is unemployed, however he is on a work placement with Fingers and Toe's and is allowed to retain his Social Welfare Benefits.
